First Post

I just found myself here.. I don't know why i decided to start this blog or if anyone will even care to read it. But its like my open journal, so i can remember some of these crazy thoughts that run through my head. Some may be personal, others may be for fun, and a lot of them will be about my love of sports and music.

I'm Tucker Bass, 23 years old and i live in Happy Valley (Utah county). Just moved here about a year ago, and i have to say i truly love it out here. The people are genuinely amazing, they are always willing to help others, and never ask for anything in return. This move has given me hope that humanity isn't lost! I've made some great friends out here, people i trust, and care about. I've found that moving to a new community/development of homes makes it easier to put yourself out there and meet new people. You're almost forced to in a way. Ive honestly never lived in a neighborhood where i know everyone i live by and not just on a name basis. Thats kind of sad if you stop to think about it. Sure I've had great friends and great neighbors in the past. But God puts you where you need to be.

You'll quickly find out that my life basically revolves around sports, its what I'm good at and what i know. I'm a play by play and color commentator for Sportz Filmz and i love it! I'm Studying Broadcast Journalism, and i'm lucky enough to have some great friends and good people I look up to in the business. Names you'll know especially if you're a Jazz Fan. Names like Thurl Bailey and Craig Bolerjack (both Jazz analysts) who have heard me call games and have given me advice on the path i want to take. I'm super grateful for their influence and the fact they take time out of their busy schedule to talk to someone like me. Both of which are Job references and people who have told me personally they will write letters of recommendation for me. Maybe they believe in my ability? I'm not sure but i know i am grateful.

I also have a profound love for music... Its amazing how a song can make you feel and abundance of different feelings. It's amazing to me how a few simple lyrics can be uplifting and can even change lives. Music gives a lot of people hope, I'm one of those people. It provides an escape for people whether your happy, sad, frustrated, confused, or any other emotion you're feeling, seems like there is a song for any situation. I myself play guitar and sing, i like to think I'm decent... One thing i constantly dream about is being up on stage, singing a song and having people singing it with me. How amazing would that feel? knowing so many people have heard what i have to say. (mind blown) I find its easier to tell someone how you feel through song but maybe that's just me.

So I'm to the point where I'm going to end this first post of mine. I hope you've enjoyed it and if you didn't know me before maybe you learned a little about who i am and what I'm about. If you have questions feel free to ask!! Oh and p.s. the weekend is almost here!! #prolife! Live it people it only happens once!

  1. Love you, Tuck! I'm so happy that you made a blog. And I feel your love for music. I'm like....obsessed with it. And it's a little annoying to other people how hooked I am on it. Welcome to the blogging community :) I'm happy you're here
